The Menace’s Attic

Something old. Something new. Something borrowed. Something dusty. Each week Dennis The Menace goes up to his musical attic (his brain) to create sets of rock and roll music you’ve never heard together before and probably never will again. The songs are put together by a “loose theme” and might share some intricate musical heritage, make for the ultimate segue, or just sound good together. Six decades are in the mix from doo-wop to British Invasion hits and rarities to punk to 80’s New Wave all topped with the best melodic rock of today. Every 7th Show is the 7″ Edition where all music is played off 45 rpm records with lots of flip sides and imports in the mix. Throughout the show Dennis offers one-of-a-kind factoids about the artists and the music, gives away concert and movie tickets, and talks about his daughter Kate a lot! Sideways With A Badger

Another bag load of classic tracks from the fifties to the naughties!  Retro [ˈre-(ˌ)trō] derives from the Latin prefix retro, meaning “backwards, or in past times” – particularly as seen in the words retrograde, implying a movement toward the past instead of a progress toward the future, and retrospective, referring to a nostalgic (or critical) eye toward the past. Style that is consciously derivative or imitative of trends, modes, fashions, or attitudes of the recent past. It generally implies a vintage of at least fifteen or twenty years.  Each week, Chris Munday delivers another ‘dose’ of his world-famous show of Retro, Punk, New Wave, Blues & Glam rock. Blowing the dust of the vinyl, cassette & 8-tracks he brings you some of the classic tracks you’d forgotten that you loved. The concept for the show is simple, it’s all about raiding the 20th Century, looking for those tracks that you’d forgotten that you’s loved and on the way taking time out to take a look at the roots of the music and rock pedigrees that made them possible! Marvin Hamster Music Emporium

A weekly radio show of alternative music from the 80’s and 90’s. College rock [ˈkä-lij ˈräk] was the term for 1980’s alternative rock. College rock was played on student-run university and college campus radio stations located in the United States and Canada in the 1980s. The stations’ playlists were often created by students who avoided the mainstream rock played on commercial radio stations. Marvin Hamster, your rodent of retro, selects two hours of College Rock, Alt Rock, Early Techno and Industrial, or what ever strikes his fancy, for your listening pleasure. Adjust your raspberry beret, move your tri-color rat tail aside, put on your headphones, light up a clove (if you got ’em), and tune in! For showtimes check out our live programme schedule! More info & playlists! Cloudcasts by marvinhamster on...

We are back and sounding better via 107.5 FM!

The phoenix rises from the ashes. Well, to make a long story short…we got our primary transmitter back up & running. An unexpected bonus were the new chips in our new unit, that meant a much better sound quality to our broadcasts. FM will never be digital, but our broadcast sounds pretty damn good. The TX seems to have a more ‘solid’ signal. All of our tests of the broadcasts show a longer stereo range than we previously had. Thanks so much to all of the faithful andHow.FM fans who showed their support in our time of need.  You guys have done more than you can ever know with your support. If you would like more info on how you can help support andHow.FM click here! Enjoy the tunes.  They are for you. We hope you like them. Chur, andHow.FM...
