Under The Radar

New Music, Old Favorites, Buried Treasures, Imports and Indies. Indie rock [ˈin-dē ˈräk] comes from “independent,” describes the small and relatively low-budget labels on which it is released and the do-it-yourself attitude of the bands and artists involved. Although distribution deals are often struck with major corporate companies, these labels and the bands they host have attempted to retain their autonomy, leaving them free to explore sounds, emotions and subjects of limited appeal to large, mainstream audiences.  Your host Mark Copeland presents music that’s made for the radio, that corporate & commercial radio tends to ignore, direct from the Motor City, Detroit MI! The 80s Underground

Truly a lost genre of radio programming until now… Underground music [ˌən-dər-ˈgrau̇nd ˈmyü-zik] comprises musical genres beyond mainstream culture. Any song that is not being legally commercialized is considered underground. Such music may tend to express common ideals, such as high regard for sincerity and intimacy, freedom of creative expression as opposed to the highly formulaic composition of commercial music, and appreciation of artistic individuality as opposed to conformity to current mainstream trends. The 80s Underground resurrects the best in 80’s Indie, College, Punk, Post-punk, New wave, and Modern rock. Your host Jeff Shelton devotes a concentrated two hours each week to bring you the best in completely Underground 80’s rock. For showtimes check out our live programme...

The Waiting Room

The Waiting Room, hosted by verbal miscreants & professional amateurs Drunk Country (DC) & “The Woman of The House” (aka TWoTH), is a new music/non-sequitur radio show based out of Cardiff, Wales. Discovering 2hrs of new music on your behalf every week since 2006, TWR delivers bands, live sessions, interviews, & nonsensical jibber-jabber at an alarming rate.  Formerly of WOXY.com. The Menace’s Attic

The Menace’s Attic

Something old. Something new. Something borrowed. Something dusty. Each week Dennis The Menace goes up to his musical attic (his brain) to create sets of rock and roll music you’ve never heard together before and probably never will again. The songs are put together by a “loose theme” and might share some intricate musical heritage, make for the ultimate segue, or just sound good together. Six decades are in the mix from doo-wop to British Invasion hits and rarities to punk to 80’s New Wave all topped with the best melodic rock of today. Every 7th Show is the 7″ Edition where all music is played off 45 rpm records with lots of flip sides and imports in the mix. Throughout the show Dennis offers one-of-a-kind factoids about the artists and the music, gives away concert and movie tickets, and talks about his daughter Kate a lot! For showtimes check out our live programme schedule! More info &...
