Brainwaves – Feb. 6, 2024 – Animals go indie

Written by on 04/02/2024

Looking for a novel way to position your indie band? Cars and Trucks has recorded an entire album of songs about animals, based on nursery rhymes. Now, that’s memorable. Check out their song “Flying Squirrel and Bat” (we promise it’s really catchy). Plus songs about “strangers” from Modest Mouse, the Rebel Light, American Music Club, Lola Marsh, Boy and Bear, Red Sun Project, David Johansen, Supertramp and the Porcupine Tree. Plus – wait for it – a Britney Spears cover? It’s all on this week’s Brainwaves.
